$10,000 Raised in the Ride to Conquer Cancer
At Security ONE, protecting what matters most goes far beyond homes and businesses—it includes people, families, and the communities we’re proud to call home. In June, our President, Chris Neumann, took part in The Ride to Conquer Cancer, a two-day, 200-kilometre cycling event benefiting the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, one of the top five cancer research centres in the world.
For Chris, this ride was deeply personal.
“Cancer changed my family forever,” he shared. “My mom, Lisa, lost her courageous two-year battle with rectal cancer in 2021. My younger brother Stephen is a proud testicular cancer survivor. Their stories fuel every kilometre of the 200 km I pedaled.”

This wasn’t just another athletic challenge for Chris—it was a mission. A mission to erase the fear that comes with hearing the words “you have cancer.”
Chris set out with a goal to raise $5,000—one dollar for every gruelling metre of the ride. Thanks to the overwhelming support from friends, family, colleagues, and our community, he didn’t just reach that goal—he nearly doubled it, raising $9,000 for life-saving cancer research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
To show our support for this incredible cause, Security ONE also donated an additional $1,000, contributing a portion of sales from the week of the event to honour the mission and the message behind the ride.
About The Ride to Conquer Cancer
The Ride is Canada’s largest cycling fundraiser, having raised more than $300 million to date. Over two days, riders pedal 100 km per day across Southwestern Ontario, united by a powerful commitment to “Carry the Fire” of hope, healing, and discovery.
Funds raised power some of the most advanced cancer research in the world—transforming breakthrough ideas into real-world treatments. Every donation makes an impact.
Why It Matters
Chris’s story reminds us that behind every ride, every dollar, and every breakthrough is a family, a loved one, a survivor—or a loss. His determination to ride in honour of his mother and brother is an inspiring example of the strength and compassion that drives real change.
“Together, we can create a world where stories like my mom’s end with recovery—not loss,” said Chris. “Thank you for helping me Carry the Fire.”
