Sharing my initial experience with Security ONE - my installation is occurring in January.The customer experience has so far been exemplary. I... discovered Security ONE while looking for alternatives to Telus ADT and the company stood out for its range and sophisticated product line (alongside being local). There is lots of room to grow with Security ONE beyond my initial needs (which included monitors, video doorbell, sensors).I had set a reminder to call Security ONE the next day, but Dakota reached out to me before my reminder even went off! Very quick response time, and we scheduled a home visit the next day. Dakota was very knowledgeable of the Security ONE system and transferring to it from Telus ADT. I also greatly appreciated the tailored approach to my needs - I wasn't just getting a package deal, but exactly what I need for a competitive price. Made me confident to set up an installation for the new year; Dakota was available even at 8pm to finalize everything. 3 days later, everything is sorted! A far cry from the experience I had with TELUS (hours waiting for an agent and endless transfers on the phone, and two no shows for technicians - although, if you're reading this review, it is likely I'm preaching to the choir here!).I will update with my installation experience, but so far Dakota has done a stand-up job.read more

I will come back and rate 5 stars if I see a betterment over time but hopefully we are heading into the right direction!Original review: We really want to use a local provider but the inconsistency with which the center is managing alerts is really not reassuring. We have had the visit of a couple of regional managers who voiced their concern when they witnessed first hand the ease at which you can bypass the "security" checks when talking to dispatchers. We are told it will be fixed, it doesn't get better. And when you voice concerns to the dispatch center, you are met with a blasé attitude. Not impressed!read more

Back in early December 2022 I was so frustrated at having to spend the best part of two hours attempting unsuccessfully to get help from ADT Telus. ... Thankfully it turned out that we were very close to the end of our three year contract!A google search found Security One, a local company. Spoke with my husband who said he had seen their signs around the area and that we should give them a call. It was the weekend and I left a message on the online contact page - lo and behold I received a reply back from Debbie within the hour. It was such a refreshing experience (right up there with MNSI!).Debbie patiently worked with me while I went through the exasperating process of trying to find out how I cancelled our contract with ADT Telus . . . and joy when we got our installation and service date with Security One on January 31st. Ken and Skylar were the technical installers. Personable, professional, they patiently worked through problems, did system upgrades, and then tested each and every sensor on our system. They spent the best part of 4 hours getting everything just right.I have had to phone Security One for a couple of queries before the install and after and always the minimum of time on hold and a human being to speak to. Their office team sent us all the forms we needed for our home insurance and to re-register our alarm in Lakeshore.I have been very happy with the level of service and care shown by Security One and am pleased to recommend them to you unequivocally and without hesitation. Security One in Chatham has been extremely helpful in finding us the systems that will work for us (security alarm pad, door access key fabs and... cameras) they sent an 2 technicians (one that was knowledgeable of our site, which was very important) to upgrade all of our sytems. They were professional and worked around us while we were still in operation. The technicians taught us how to use the new equipment and were very patient with our questions.
