Make sure your house numbers are visible from the street, or applied to your mailbox properly to help emergency responders find your home.
Prune all shrubs & trees away from the sidewalks, driveway, porch, doorway windows and gates to eliminate hiding places.
Trim or prune any bushes under a window below the sill. Again, this eliminates places to hide.
Prune any tall bushes from the ground up to expose any feet or legs from hiding.
Cut or prune tree branches upward at least 6 ft. to keep a clear view both onto and out of your property
Make sure you have proper lighting at the front, rear and side of the house. Mount any motion activated lights under the eaves trough to reduce vandalism.
Privacy fences are nice, but keep in mind they provide privacy for burglars as well. Be sure a privacy fence is not easy to scale, and if possible, lock the gate.
Doors should have a solid core with deadbolt locks and guard plates to hinder prying.
