PRESS RELEASE

Security ONE to provide FREE medical alerts to the vulnerable during the Covid-19 crisis

May 28, 2020 – (Leamington, ON) – During these unprecedented times more and more vulnerable citizens are at home alone. In addition, self-isolation and social distancing guidelines have made it nearly impossible to check in on loved ones that are elderly or convalescing at home.

Recognizing the vulnerable position this puts individuals who now must self-isolate at home in, or who are otherwise vulnerable, Security ONE Alarm Systems is teaming with local health care agencies and care givers to provide monitored Medical Alert Devices at no charge during this period.

“These medical alerts are essentially personal emergency response systems,” says Corey Robertson, Manager of Community Partnerships at Security ONE. “Help is just the push of a button away.”

The devices have 2-way voice communication built into them, can track GPS location and feature a Smart Fall Detection. “This robust little unit maintains its functionality wherever it goes,” says Robertson. “It is really designed to maintain your independence.”

Robertson explains that giving back to the community is ingrained in Security ONE’s culture. “We stand in awe of the amazing work the frontline workers and caregivers across the region do in our communities,” he says. “We are pleased to provide this service for those in need at no charge for an 8-week period.”

Health workers and care givers with clients or patients that would like a FREE personal emergency response system are invited to contact Corey Robertson at Security ONE directly at 519-326-29020, ext. 2310 or by email at crobertson@securityonealarm.com.
