December 11,2017 – (Windsor, ON)

The Hiatus House, a social service agency offering confidential intervention for families experiencing domestic violence, was the lucky winner of Security ONE’s fourth annual “Who Deserves to Win” contest. Security and life-safety is taken very seriously at the Hiatus House as many women and children rely on the refuge that the building provides.

Chris Neumann, Director of Corporate Strategy for Security ONE was thrilled that Hiatus House was this year’s recipient. “When we heard that the Hiatus House was in need of a new fire monitoring solution and panic buttons, we jumped at the chance to assist,” said Neumann. “We’ve been a partner with the Hiatus House for over a decade and we have a team member who’s Fiancée works there, so the Organization is near and dear to our heart.”

Mimicking previous years, the Security ONE team produced a short film highlighting the installation and showcases several interviews with key Hiatus House staff including Executive Director, Tom Rolfe. Rolfe was ecstatic that Security ONE could assist and update their fire alarm system because “the last thing we want is some kind of breach in our [fire &] security” said Rolfe.

Jeff Tavares, Service Manager for Security ONE was looking forward to this day for a longtime. “Our technicians and sales staff love this contest. We all wear Santa Hats and wrap the equipment like Christmas gifts. Everyone gets a hands-on appreciation of the peace of mind we provide day in and day out to our clients,” added Tavares.

Corey Robertson, Director of Marketing, summed it up perfectly. “This is why we do what we do. We’ve got a pretty great job when we get to go home at the end of the day, knowing that we we’ve been able to help someone be more safe and secure.”
