Alarm.com’s Santa Security is a seasonal, app-based feature that turns your smart home cameras into a tool for holiday fun. Rather than just recording everyday security events, you can use this feature to place a classic Santa Claus image into a live or captured camera snapshot. The result? A holiday keepsake that adds joy and excitement to Christmas morning.
How Santa Security Works
Using Santa Security is simple and intuitive. If you have one or more compatible Alarm.com cameras connected to your system, you can follow these easy steps within the Alarm.com mobile app:
- Open the Alarm.com app and navigate to a live video feed from a compatible camera on your system.
- Tap the Santa icon in the video feed to capture a still image.
- Select your Santa image from the available options. You can choose full-colour Santas for daytime scenes or black-and-white versions for night captures.
- Resize and reposition Santa anywhere within the frame to suit your scene.
- Save and share the snapshot with family and friends by text, email, or social media for everyone to enjoy.
This feature is available throughout December, giving you plenty of time to add a little seasonal magic to your smart home experience.
